Raising support in the States is a necessity for many missionaries. Finding housing can be quite a challenge, especially for families with young kids.

Jesus said, "In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you."

As much as we long for the home in eternity, we find that we still need a place here in the meantime. The Valley of Baca is looking to provide a small measure of respite for missionary families while they are on furlough, or visiting their supporting churches and families.

Through the kindness and generosity of a donation of land to the Valley of Baca, we can soon begin to 'prepare a place' for them to stay from time to time. As with the vehicles, God is providing re-usable blessings to His workers, a home which will be built to serve many families for many years.

The house and variety of cabins will be free of charge to the mission families from the Christian Churches and Churches of Christ. They will be free to use the home as they would their own- welcoming their family for visits, enjoying pets, coming and going on their own schedules.

Several missionaries have told us that they are so hurried and pressed while on furlough, that they don't get time alone with God, or with their families. This will be a quiet place to have both. There is almost 26 acres, and lovely paths through the woods, with gardens and picnic areas planned.

Please pray as we start laying out the foundations for this work, that it becomes what we want it to be - a retreat and a way to honor God.
